C&0 Canal to Huckleberry Hiker Biker campsite

Yesterday we cycled along the C&O canal for 33 miles.  The trail is quite beautiful and mostly well cared for. There are allot of bird watchers along the trail, walkers,bikers and families.  it's spaced out enough not to be bothersome.  The canal is on one side





of the trail, the Potomac on the other and the long train carrying on the other side.  I saw many turtles, beautiful colorful birds and two great blue Heron. I met a very nice woman, Fatima and we went to lunch at a most beautiful church turned coffee shop.  we arrived at our destination around 4pm. Brian announced loudly, look at the sky. 
We set up our tents as fast as we could and endured a long session of thunder and lightening. My panniers are not waterproof.
