Hi, I skipped the blog yesterday, so I'll write a bit about yesterday today. Steven and I rode on many surface types yesterday. We try our best to stay off the main roads so we traversed many miles of gravel roads. I do like it because of the technical challenges but after a while, enough is enough.
Early in the day we climbed into a windy, shade covered forested road, it's certainly net well travelled and the road was in rough shape. We really liked it. It was exhilarating winding down the road dodging the potholes and gravel. Soon afterwards we came upon the longest covered bridge in Indiana. Sometime thereafter the gravel roads my right pedal came off. It startled me and luckily I was on a quiet paved road. It was easy to fix. For lunch we sat on the side of the road and dug into our food bags. Terre Haute is known for its colleges and we took a bike tour around the campus and through trails in parks. Oh yeah before that we stopped for cookies and tea in the local coffee shop.
Hi Jodi! Keep on truckin’!
