Please forgive me. I wrote this two days ago. I couldn’t publish it because I haven’t had service. We rode a 12 miles up for a 1900’ gain. We had a delightful 3 mile ride down into Virginia City where we prepared to go to breakfast at a cafe. It was there that I met Joshua, a nice young n my an traveling east. I invited him to breakfast where we shared stories. Joshua had made his own panniers for his bike out of Tidy cat containers. Pretty ingenious. Virginia City was an old western town and that’s what brings in the tourists. Pretty cool. The peak day was in the first 15 miles. With 55 mikes to go and a strong headwind I pooped out
